My older friends have taught me it’s possible to be aging gracefully from a good vantage point, even now, and at this very moment.
In other words, life is what you make of it daily. You can live in fear or take a higher perspective. Older adults already know that every day is a gift and they are not afraid.
Go to Older Adults for Voices of Reason
I’ve learned that some older adults are more concerned about their loss of liberties right now than potential loss of their lives. I’ve enjoyed hearing their different views on personal and world health vs. a global economy or economic collapse. My older friends have reminded me that freedom of speech is vital to our well-being, too.
The vantage point of adults who lived through World War II is especially calming to me. They have expressed how difficult it is to be “at war” with an unseen enemy and go into hiding as a unified reaction, as opposed to “doing something” that feels more productive. I understand that completely.
Saluting Older Friends
So, here is my salute to my older loved ones who continuously teach me to think for myself. Thank God for you and your voices of reason during difficult times.
To my older friends, you amaze me, and I’m grateful for you, and to you.
I’m offering new viewpoints through the live webcams below. Watch the world from the inside out and enjoy its majesty and mystery!
