Laura’s best tip for aging gracefully is:
“Don’t spend any more time cleaning than necessary!“
Hire a cleaning service if possible. Nonetheless, if you MUST do some cleaning, make it quick and easy. Learn the tricks from professionals!
Tip: Use Compressed Air!
Most households already have compressed air around for cleaning the crumbs from computer keyboards, but if you don’t have one, it’s time to buy one! There are probably more uses than you knew!
This cleaning “tool” will help with some of your biggest cleaning challenges!
Spray canned air to quickly clean:
- Heating and air conditioning registers
- Lampshades
- Hard-to-reach corners
- Window blinds
- Car dashboard
- Electric razors
- Wicker
… and remember it for anything with nooks and crannies!
Watch this 30-second video to see some examples.
Also… Spray underneath furniture and appliances to move dirt out to be vacuumed. It’s easier than moving the appliance!
NOTE: When you used compressed air, squeeze the trigger for short 3 – 6 second blasts and NOT a continuous long stream of air. Follow the manufacturer’s suggestions for safety.

Love this idea of spraying the dust out! I’m already thinking of all the places around my house…!! Better buy several cans 🙂
Drugstores, office, or big box stores have them!
