Kathryn says you need to create a vision when you are reaching toward a goal and striving for a life filled with vitality!
Last week, Kathryn talked about the importance of setting goals (at any age) and offered 3 ways to find a goal that’s right for you. This week, you can learn how to create a vision to fuel your goal and become unstoppable!
Why create a vision?
When you create a vision, you’re looking into the future and imagining a change in your life. This vision will help guide you toward what you want. It sparks you with excitement and enthusiasm that will keep you moving forward, even when you “don’t feel like it.”
If you have been a yo-yo dieter in the past, it may be that you didn’t have a vision or it wasn’t filled with enough detail and emotion to keep you focused on the results.
Consider your effect on others
What you do affects other people… all the time… whether you realize it or not.
When you’re working toward a goal and maintaining a vision for the desired end result, you’re more likely to be in a good mood, be productive, and wake with enthusiasm.
Every smile or gesture of kindness and every smirk, insult, or indifference impacts the world. When you are smiling, considerate, and happy, you set off a chain of happiness! You are literally making the world a better place.
What does it feel like when you imagine reaching your goal?
Think about all the details of reaching your goal – your environment, the objects, and people around you. Use your imagination to feel your success and enjoy that good feeling. The more detailed you are and the more often you do this, the more likely you’ll reach your success!

One of my goals this year is to begin hiking. I have put it off because my wife can not walk well but it is time for me to begin. Goal will be to hile 500 miles this year as I turn 80.
