Ageism occurs in employment and has been cleverly hidden by some employers: companies reorganize and abolish positions.
Workers are told they can re apply for other positions but younger workers often get those positions. The laid off older workers are told “the candidate selected “was a better fit.”
It is a traumatic experience for workers of all ages.
