How Can YOU Feel Powerful In Silence?

Posted on June 5, 2020June 6, 2020 by Kathryn Eyring

This Is Your Invitation To Feel Powerful In Silence

Your calming presence is requested. YOU can be the change you want to see in the world. You can influence others to feel empowered by being of a calm mind.

I invite you to take time for quiet and ask yourself, “What can I do to bring more peace to this world?”

Time Alone May Be The Best Way To See, Even If Your Eyes Are Closed

If you are reading this article, you are most likely an adult over 45 years old. Your powerful adult experience, truths, integrity, and good judgments are valuable assets to your community as much now, as ever before.

Sitting in stillness may be perceived as “inactivity” by others. That’s okay. You can still feel powerfully active by keeping peaceful thoughts and sharing them with others to influence calm.

The Wisdom of Elders Is Valuable

Fear is often related to the unknown future and frightful predictions of it. Fear blocks rational thinking, but your expressed wisdom and calm voice can empower your friends and family. Never underestimate your value!

Your Creative Mind

Some people are more creative than others, but people of all ages tend to use creative imagination to project themselves into the future. Here is an example you will surely relate to. Insert yourself in the following scenario:

I went to a friend’s house and enjoyed a delightful visit. As I went to leave, I searched for my ____________________ (purse, cell phone, or wallet) and then found that I hadn’t even brought it with me! On the way to my friend’s house, I had NO FEAR, but now, on the way home, my brain began to spiral downward, “What if I’m in an accident? What if my car breaks down? What if I get pulled over?”

Anxious feelings can flood the brain with potential disasters.

Back To The Present Moment

The rational and calm part of your brain must be used in order to feel strong, brave, and empowered. You can do that by being still and quiet and bringing yourself back to the present moment.

Not only can primal instincts make us do foolish things, but they can also make us self-centered and blind us to the suffering of others.

Influence Calm And Goodness In Others

Fear can prevent humans from being at their best, but your individual decision to be of a calm, good, and kind mind can help you and others to feel empowered.

Sharing goodness with one person at a time spreads exponentially!

The natural world is still in order. The universe is still moving predictably. You can still feel powerful in silence, then use your inner peacefulness to make this world a better place.

Share your thoughts in the comment box below…

Do you believe that you can feel powerful in silence? Do you believe that your stillness, reflection, and calming presence can change the world?

Have you ever been the voice of calm and reason that brought about better resolutions?

This may be a good time to learn about meditation. You can read about meditation HERE.

Such good food-for-thought. This can apply in many circumstances. With age comes wisdom, or at least it should. Good to remember this when the chips are down and quiet consideration is necessary…
You always have great advice !
    In friendship,
    Tina

Loved seeing you on the rings. Looks like so much fun & increase strength training. You are very good at it. I’m so envious of you having them in your garage. I loved being on a competitive team in high school.
