Greg Piscura is aging gracefully as he gains popularity traveling around Cleveland and the northeast Ohio area and singing at senior living apartments and communities, community centers, luncheons, and other events.
Greg loved teaching school for many years until a family loss made him decide to take the retirement he had already earned at his relatively young age. He continued working as a coach after retirement, then started his next career in singing! He tells his story (7:05) of determination as he sat next to his dog and ran his finger down a list of phone numbers, making calls and asking people to just give him a chance.
When Greg sings songs made popular by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, and more, I swear women swoon over him, everyone smiles, and pleasant memories surface for adults who had once regularly listened to the music from this era.
As an entertainer, Greg has great admiration for aging adults and loves to tell fun stories about his experiences with them.
Tune right into his singing and enjoy! Listen to his “best advice” about the importance of staying socially active, his suggestion for young families about intergenerational relationships, and what teenagers need to know.
Big THANK YOU to The Normandy Senior Living for making this episode of Aging Gracefully TV possible!

What music do YOU love – Songs from the Great American Songbook? the 60’s? or another decade?
Surprised to see you Greg! It was a random thing that I came across this website. I too am from Bedford, and was in an 8th grade American history class with you at Moody Jr. High School and teacher, Mr. Thomas Johnson. You’re delightful personality has not changed a bit. (Now you know what that quiet [make that chicken] girl thought of you in the next row!). How wonderful you sing for seniors all over northeast Ohio and greater Cleveland! I’m sure the returned smiles you receive are priceless.

Great interview, Kathryn! I’d love to see Greg perform next time I’m in Cleveland!
