A friend asked me, “How can I motivate my father to take better care of himself?”
Isn’t that the million-dollar question! Do YOU want the answer, too?
Imagine how we could powerfully change the world by motivating a parent, spouse, child, employee, neighbor… oh, this list could go on!
Imagine if the entire population was aging gracefully.
This new world would be filled with the healthiest individuals, all physically fit and active!
The fast-food restaurants would close, grocery stores would shrink to smaller sizes without unnecessary processed food, more gyms would have to open, grandparents would be playing on the floor with their grandkids, healthcare costs would be minimal, addicts would all be seeking recovery, and seatbelt expanders would be a thing of the past!
Here’s the answer you’ve been waiting for…
Nobody has figured out a sure-fire way to motivate someone who doesn’t want to be motivated.
Yes, there are plenty of books to read and techniques you can try.
Still, the best thing to do is to be a good example
People need to have a “WHY” before making a lifestyle change.
Show others how YOU enjoy the BENEFITS of a healthy lifestyle!
Show how YOU take care of YOURSELF..
Show how YOU are eating well, sleeping well, and staying active and fit.
YOU can be the one traveling, playing a sport, and still feeling good in a bathing suit.
YOU can be the lively, social, interesting and fun one to be around!
YOU can start today. YOU can eliminate your own excuses today.
YOU can be aging gracefully.
In the comments below, brag a little!
WHAT are you doing to stay active and healthy?
What is your WHY?
What are the benefits you’re receiving now for making the extra efforts?
p.s. STAY TUNED as I’m continuing to line up more inspiring and unstoppable people who are EXAMPLES of aging gracefully. For those of you who are already motivated to live a long healthy life without regrets, you’re going to love what’s ahead!
