Monica has poison ivy and that can be a huge distraction from everything in life. However, she can choose funny movies to keep her mind distracted and allow laughter to help her healing! Her story line changes to, “While I had poison ivy, I watched funny movies every day to distract me from the itching!”
Sam couldn’t spend time with his family on a cruise, but he didn’t mope about it. He learned how to use zoom to connect with family on a weekly basis. He sent the children gifts and watched online as they opened the gifts!
Glenn didn’t feel good about hosting dinner parties anymore but he found another way to use his joy of cooking. He started to compose a recipe book that he’ll give as a gift to his friends for Christmas. He is learning to make videos of himself in the kitchen for YouTube, too. He never lets a day be dull!
