Where do YOUR thoughts come from? Mostly from yesterday! And the day before that!
Did you know that 90% of your thoughts are the same as yesterday? Give your mind new challenges and things to think about or your mind will simply recycle old thoughts over and over again.
Once you realize that your own monkey brain is simply behaving normally as it’s haunting you with repetitive thoughts, you can choose to start feeding your mind intentionally.
Watch the quick video I made for you (below) to learn something new today – Zentangling!
Where do good thoughts originate?
People who are happy and optimistic think happy and optimistic thoughts.
Those same people are engaging in happy conversations, reading and watching uplifting material, starting new projects or hobbies, or listening to lively and energetic music! They’re also going outdoors and enjoying natural beauty.
Do YOU want to be happier? Do YOU want to be more optimistic?
Give your mind direction or it will run amok!
TIP: If you turn on the news you can expect thoughts of negativity to infiltrate your day.
Do you start your day thinking about how happy you are to be alive? Try it!
Do you start your day with gratitude? Try writing it down… even better!
Do you begin with exercise and nutritious foods? Oh, you have excuses? Read this excuse-busting article!
Don’t know what new thing might be interesting? I created the following video to give you something new to do! ANYONE can learn to Zentangle!
Zentangling is a form of doodling that anyone can learn to do!
The book that I reference in the video:
Please leave your thoughts in the comment box below…
What have YOU intentionally fed your mind to think about today?
What have YOU tried new lately?
Did you give Zentangling a try?
True confession:
I did most of my ‘zentangling’ in SCHOOL when I should have been paying attention to the teacher…!! I love doodling and it seems like zentangle is a new (higher) level of an old activity. Very pretty 🙂 Relaxing, too!
That’s really fun. I was thinking of the ancient Celtic designs used in jewelry metal work and of course manuscript illuminations.
I have done zentangle and also love it. After watching your video I am planning on starting again (haven’t done for a few years). I like to “use up “ things I already have laying around. I took old plain flat gold Christmas bulbs and zentangled them with random designs and incorporated thei name and things about them (birthdate, sports…). I also “repaired” things using zentangle like zen tangling a flower over a stain on fabric. Like you said, Be creative!
