Hello, it’s Kathryn here!
Here are the answers to some recent questions I’ve received and then I have some questions for YOU at the end!
Q. Who does the writing for Aging Gracefully TV?
A. I personally do all the article writing except for occasions when I have guest writers. Writers can submit their 400-word articles for consideration any time to info@AgingGracefully.TV!
Q. How are guests selected for Aging Gracefully TV?
A. I’m always looking for people who exemplify a Long, Healthy Life WITHOUT REGRETS. I’m looking for aging adults who do, or have done, something unique or lived an atypical life that readers will find interesting and inspiring to action.
Q. Who works on your website, blog, graphics, and emails?
A. It’s just little old me with the help of TV production from the wonderful folks at the Avon Lake studio of ALC-TV. Here’s a big Thank You to Barb, Stephanie, Brian, Jen, and Lucas who work so hard for the community of Avon Lake, Ohio! p.s. I do have my own equipment now and sometimes go out of the studio for my interviews.
YOUR TURN! Could YOU spare a moment to answer a few questions for me?
Q. What topics do YOU want more of / less of?
The following are some topics to get you thinking…
- Inspiring stories
- Info on exercise
- Safety tips
- Balance
- Medical info (Examples: hearing, vision, colon health, arthritis, dementia, diabetes, Parkinson’s, cardiac disease, MS)
Q. Would YOU be interested in being on an Aging Gracefully committee to help me with ideas for growth? Any amount of time, as minimal as you’d like, local or remote.
Q. Would YOU be willing to recommend Aging Gracefully to a friend? Have you noticed “Send some inspiration to a friend by clicking here!” at the top of each weekly email? Would you mind doing it this week to help gain new subscribers to the Aging Gracefully community?
Q. Did you know that you can just “Reply” to any emails from Aging Gracefully TV for a personal response? I answer each one!
I enjoy your weekly blogs and the variety of them. I was not aware of how much you are involved in the overall process which much take a lot of time. You seem so relaxed and a pro at doing the blogs. I have recommended your blogs to some of my FB friends since we are all retired. My main topics are safety and exercising with age. I continue to look forward to your blogs.
Gary
Oh, thank you for your kind words. I have some FUN stuff coming up!
Hi, Kathryn,
I think a video now and then regarding balance as you have done in yoga class. They might also make watchers curious to know more and sign up for a class.
I am interested in fitness, mindfulness or mental well-being and nutrition,
I will pass along ideas at they come to me.
Anne
As a Health Coach, I LOVE teaching all that you mentioned AND I have amazing BALANCE VIDEOS coming soon!!
Any of those topics are good. Maybe someone could do a piece on turning a hobby into a small business during retirement. How to address the issue of self-employment tax when your income is sporadic, due to a lack of sales and the nature of the business venture. I know I’d appreciate such information and anything else a retired business person could share. I don’t have the free time to help with the program at this time. I’ll let you know when and if I can. I will share with friends via e-mail.
I have someone in mind! Thank you!
We really enjoy your inspiring stories.
Thank you Gail! That is why I keep going when the going gets rough. Your comment means a lot to me.
